Beschriftung Rückseite: "A sensational wedding. Miss Martha Veit, who acted the role of 'Maria' in last year's Passion Plays at Oberammergau and who held the reputation of being the 'handsomest Maria' ever seen in the Play, got married, Febry 25th, with a young Hamburg business man. The marriage caused a considerable stir in the township as nobody there knew of Miss Veit's love affair, and many a boy of the township having an eye to Miss Veit was badly disappointed. The feeling of the townfolks proved to be so hostile that the wedding could not take place at Oberammergau as intended, but in the native town of the bridegroom. Miss Veit made the acquaintance of her fiancé at the beginning of the war where she held a position as governess with a Hamburg family. –Miss Martha Veit with her bridegroom Mr. Moeller, of Hamburg."
